11ax and 11be technical-IPQ8072 and IPQ9554, IPQ9574- Faster, smarter and more stable WiFi technology

What are the technical differences between 802.11AX and 802.11BE?

As of the cut-off date I am aware of (January 2022), 802.11be is a standard that is still in the research and development stage, while 802.11ax is the Wi-Fi 6 standard that has already been published and is in use. As a result, the exact technical details of 802.11be are subject to change. Here are some possible differences between the two standards, as far as I know:

802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6):

Frequency band: 802.11ax mainly operates in 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.

Data rate: Higher data rates are supported, up to 9.6 Gbps.

MU-MIMO: Provides more robust MU-MIMO support for better performance not only in downstream communications, but also in upstream communications.

OFDMA: Introduced OFDMA, which allows a channel to be transmitted to multiple devices at the same time, improving the efficiency of the network.

Basic Performance Improvements: Some technical improvements, such as the Basic Service Set (BSS) Coloring, have been introduced to reduce channel collisions and improve network efficiency.

Target Wake Time: The target Wake time (TWT) function is introduced to reduce device power consumption.

802.11Be:

Since 802.11be has not yet been officially released, here are some technical directions that may be implemented in future standards, but this is not final:

Higher data rates: 802.11be will likely drive higher data rates to meet future demands for more capacity and faster speeds.

Wider band support: A wider band range may be supported to provide more flexible deployment options.

More powerful MU-MIMO and Beamforming: Further improve multi-user multiple-input multiple-output and beamforming technologies to increase network capacity and coverage.

More advanced modulation and modulation schemes: More advanced modulation and modulation schemes may be adopted to improve the efficiency of data transmission.

IPQ8072 and IPQ9554, IPQ9574 three chips are relatively high performance, then where are the differences between them before?

IPQ8072:

Processor architecture: Uses Qualcomm's Kryo architecture, which is a custom ARM-based processor architecture.

Wi-Fi standards: May support the latest Wi-Fi standards, including 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) or later.

Network interface: Gigabit Ethernet interface may be supported for wired connections.

Applications: Advanced Wi-Fi performance and features for high-end routers and wireless access points.

IPQ9554:

Processor architecture: Uses Qualcomm's Krait architecture, which is also a custom ARM-based processor architecture.

Wi-Fi standards: Possible support for the 802.11ac standard, the previous generation of Wi-Fi 5.

Network interface: Gigabit Ethernet interface may be supported for wired connections.

Application area: Provides good Wi-Fi performance for mid-to-high-end routers and wireless access points.

The IPQ8072 is primarily the cpu of a high-performance WiFi6 router, providing a more stable, higher speed connection.

IPQ9574 and IPQ9554, which are the main cpus used as WiFi7 routers, are currently the latest WiFi technologies and will provide better opportunities for more demanding projects in the future!
