-Let my love, like sunlight, surround you
    and yet give you illumined freedom.

-April, like a child,
    writes hierogyphs on dust with
       flowers,
       wipes them away and forgets.

-The stars crowd round the virgin night
    in silent awe at her loneliness
       that can never be touched.

-Flower, have pity for the worm,
    it is not a bee,
       its love is a blunder and a burden.

花啊，可怜这小虫吧
    它不是蜜蜂，
       它的爱只是一种错误和负担。

-The flower which is single
    need not envy the thorns
       that are numerous.
孤零的花朵
    用不着羡慕
       丛生的荆棘。

-Love remains a secret even when
       spoken,
    for only a lover truly knows that he is
       loved.

-I miss the meaning of my own part
    in the play of life
because I know not of the parts
       that others play.
我不了解在生命剧中
    我所扮演的角色是什么意义，
因为我对别人扮演的角色
    毫无所知。

-My last salutation are to them
    who knew me imperfect and loved me.

-Once we dreamt that we were strangers.
    We wake up to find that we were dear
    to each other.
有一回我们梦见过我们是陌生人。
醒来后却发觉是那么亲切。

-I sit at my window this morning where
the world like a passer-by stops for a
moment, nods to me and gone.

-The bird wishes it were a cloud
    the cloud wishes it were a bird.

-I can not tell why this heart languishes in
silence.
    It is for small needs it never asks, or
knows or semmbers.
我不懂为什么这颗心在沉默中憔悴了。
是为了那些它从来不恳求，不了解，
    也不记住的细微需要。

-You smailed and tolked to me of nothing
and I felt that for this I had been wating
long.
你对我微笑却无言，
我觉得正是为了这个，我一直期待了很久。

-I cannot choose the best.
    the best choses me.
我不能选择最好的。
    最好的选择我。
