Software Sales Engineer – APAC

JOB PURPOSE
The SoftwareSales Engineer is responsible for providing support to strategic customeraccounts, supporting the sales team in building proposals, and presentingtechnical product demonstration to prospected clients, providing technicaltraining (web based or live) to clients, gathering customer requirements,leading special in-building design work presented to clients, acting as thebridge between the Sales, Marketing, Product, and R&D teams.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing     and presenting technical presentations
  • Performing     interactive technical product demonstrations and detailed training     (on-site or web-based)
  • Clearly     demonstrating technical functionalities and answer product related     questions
  • Technical     support to the Sales, Marketing, Training, Product, and R&D teams
  • Pre     and post-sales support including; development of solution proposals,     solution deployment
  • RFP     technical response support
  • Problem     documentation / re-creation and issue escalation / resolution
  • Participating     in RF Engineering related activities (product testing, special projects,     new features)
  • Understanding     and documenting customers request for features
  • Act     as single point of contact for strategic customer accounts
QUALIFICATIONS
§ Self-motivated,self-starter and ability to work autonomously or within a dynamic team
§ Strong customerinterfacing skills
§ Excellentpresentation and professional written communication skills
§ Fluency inEnglish and Mandarin; other Asian language skills will be considered a verystrong asset
§ Bachelor’sdegree in Telecommunication engineering, or Computer/Software Engineering
§ Ability toclearly communicate solutions to customers
§ Ability tomanage and prioritize assigned tasks in order to meet deadlines, highlightingrisks
§ RF engineeringexperience (In-building design / DAS, RAN design)
§ Experienceusing iBwave’s software suite (an asset)
§ In-depthexperience in designing, deploying and optimizing wireless in-building networks(passive and active distribution)
§ Knowledge ofvarious equipments and equipment vendors catering to In-Building networks
§ Understandradio wave propagation theory
§ Understanddifferentiators between CDMA, WCDMA, GSM, EDGE, GPRS, TDMA, iDEN, WiFi, WiMax,LTE, and other protocols
§ Excellentcomputer and software skills
§ Ability totravel a is must (40-60%)
LOCATION: Home based office preferred in Mainland China, but can be anywhere inthe APAC region.
