1.Customer Applications Support – Provide in-depth technical support to China customers
(Responsibility in several out of the following technical areas associated with cellular mobile terminals )
Key responsibility is to support customers and resolve technical issues through all stages of their projects from concept to mass production.
· Customer Applications Support – Provide in-depth technical support to China customers
· Approvals, IOT and Field Trial Support
· Manufacturing & Field Issues – Analysis of issues, localisation of system level problems to phone/software/hardware/IC etc
· Training for Customer teams as required – Presentation skill
· Customer on-site support
· Work closely with FAE team for the communication with customers.
· Software release management ( s/w deliveries, patch deliveries, customer re-deliveries )
· Diagnosis, analysis and resolution GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS protocol stack related, Approval (FTA, GCF,3rd party software certification ),Field Test, Production issues
· 3rd party S/W (WAP/MMS, JAVA, etc.) support
· 3rd Party Software Application integration & customisation
· Customer Application integration support

2.Product Development & Customisation
Working as part of worldwide Agere Mobility Customer Services organisation to develop and customise applications, platforms & software solutions around our complete product roadmap based on Mobility core developments and vendor/partner 3rd party components and software to meet the needs of customers.
Functional/Industry Knowledge
Required:
· Good verbal and written English language communications skills
· 5+ years working experience in mobile phone or related wireless communications industries, especially in GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS highly desirable
· Practical, hands on experience of developing, proving, delivering & supporting chipset applications, board level mobile terminal products or embedded/real time software essential. Experience gained in these skills in the mobile phone industry would be highly desirable.
· Good team working skills across countries and cultures; willingness and ability to work directly with colleagues and customers including travel to their sites.
Education/Certifications
Required Degree: Bachelor
Preferred Degree: Master
Preferred Major: in electronics or equivalent (or closely linked subject).
