Ericsson Cuts 1,400 Staff in Sweden Published on: 27th Mar 2013 Ericsson says that it has completed a restructuring of its Swedishoperations, resulting in 1,399 staff being made redundant. In total 919 staff were served with redundancy notices, while the remaindertook voluntary redundancy. The bulk of the job losses (570) were in Stockholm,where the company still has just over 10,000 employees. As announced previously, in absolute numbers, the majority of the reductionsare in Ericsson's Networks unit, but all parts of the organization in Sweden areto some extent affected, impacting all its Swedish sites except 我是小狗,Hudiksvall, Kalmar and Katrineholm. The company expects to book a charge of US$230 million in Q1 2013 related tothe redundancy costs. Ericsson's total number of employees in Sweden was 17,712 on December 31.
